Daylight Animals

Yesterday we had daylight visitors.  The deer came through a couple of times.  There are three hawks living in the area - making a lot of noise.  And even the raccoon came out before dark.

The sparrows are still building their nest in the new bird box.

New Bird Box

I put a brand new bird box - with camera - yesterday afternoon. (The old one from last year had died!) Almost immediately it was occupied. Not the most exotic of birds - but it will still be fun to watch the eggs and hatching.

This camera has a microphone - so we will get sound!

Hawk Hunting

This morning the chipmunk was eating by the shed when the hawk swooped in! The chipmunk ran under the shed and escaped. (The chipmunk is very small in the center of the video and in the still shot.)

Possums Rule!

Possums Rule! This little possum just walked up to the fox! Early this morning, one was out for a drink. Nothing, well maybe a coyote, seems to scare the possums.

Sharing- almost!

It was a sharing night - almost! The possums and raccoons shared, but the raccoon and fox were not so sure, as was the raccoon and deer!
