Fattening up for Winter.....

We have very well fed wildlife - they are ready for Winter, and these are just two examples of how the possums and raccoons look at the moment..........

Morning deer and a raccoon leaving well before the coyote appeared.....

We had a morning visit from the deer.

And overnight....  We have often seen raccoons sharing with foxes, possums, cats, even skunks, but they always run when a coyote appears.  This little video show the raccoon knowing the coyote was coming, and getting away 15 seconds before it appeared.  Don't forget this is all in darkness for them - we are seeing with Infrared cameras......

Coyote...

We had an early evening visit from a coyote - at about 9:15pm and it stayed for 5 minutes.

A fox - and plump raccoons....

We had a visit from the fox and as well as three plump raccoons.   All feeding before Winter really sets in.  There was a deer outside this morning at dawn - but no pictures.....

A busy time - deer, possums and a fox

Two deer this afternoon - we think there are at least 4 in the area - two possums sharing last night, and finally, a fox grabbing a rib bone!!!!

Polite Possum and surprised cat.....

This possum is very polite when eating a rib bone - careful use of one paw.  I will need to leave them some wet-wipes.......

This cat was very surprised when two deer suddenly came running up - being a typical cat, it ignored them and carried on eating!

Carnivores........

After a day of deer - a couple of carnivores - the fox during the night and a hawk this morning.......

(With the "warmer" weather we did have possums, raccoons, cats and deer last night.)

Yesterday was deer day!!!

We had three visits during the day from two deer (the single antler buck didn't return).

They were outside in the morning, late afternoon and during early evening.

Just two visitors in the snow - a possum and a fox.....

Only two visitors though out the whole night  - I guess they were hiding from the snow!!  A possum early evening and the fox at 3:30 in the morning.

The early visit from the possum - while it was still snowing.  It seemed to enjoy the turkey skin that was out!!!!

Possums, Raccoons and cats......

One possum and two raccoons - very happy to share!!!!!  Got to get the food before Winter really hits.....  Plus we had to different cats - not sure if one is Smokey or not????

One Objective - Fatten up for Winter.....

All the animals have one objective this time of year - to get as fat as possible to get through the Winter....   The raccoons and possums are making a good job of it!!!!!
