Raccoons scatter!!
These raccoons scatter for some reason and the one left is either brave, dumb, or clever as it gets the seed trays all to itself!!!! The other came back - so there wasn't a danger. I guess clever!

Raccoons, possum and skinny fox
The raccoon seems to find it hard to eat the dog food - bits are just too big. The raccoon and possum share, then a very skinny fox ran through.

Pileated Woodpecker & Two Foxes
We have pileated woodpeckers - and this one was getting its fill of the suet block.

Raccoon heading down the tree!!
This raccoon sits up in the tree during the early evening - looking down into the kitchen - until I take food out. Then it climbs down - head first!!!!!

My Food Bowl!!!!
This raccoon claimed the food bowl and nothing was going to move it. Not sure why the other raccoon ran off - but this one didn't move.

Lots of activity, rabbits, raccoon cubs, fox and possum.
Firstly, Ricky gets even closer, then we have more and more rabbits around. The raccoon cubs happily share with the possum and, finally, the fox runs off when the raccoon comes in.

The raccoon cub ran as soon as it saw me, but Ricky - who has been visiting for a while - was in to get the seed as soon as possible - about the closest it has been to me!!

Second wren nest in the bird box.
We noticed today that the wrens are starting to build another nest in the bird box. Wrens use sticks to build the nest, but this one was just too big to go in!! (I've put a baffle on the supporting post and ordered more snake repellent - to try and keep this nest safe.)

Bumble Bees......
A little different today. Earlier this year we put up an owl box (with a camera, of-course). First a squirrel moved in for a little while, then I noticed a bee! Well, we now have a bumble bee nest in the box. We will have to wait for Winter, when the next generation of queens has left and the nest is dormant before removing.
