This raccoon came out from under the shed. It has been out during the day - so I suspect it has some raccoon cubs under there, and is looking for extra food!

A Sharing Night.
Flash is still looking good after the Winter. Everything else seemed to be sharing - fox and raccoons, and possum and raccoon.

Fox scared off by Flash
The fox took one look at Flash - the cat - coming in, and ran off! (The fox and the cat are very similar in size.)

Flash was OK with the raccoon, but the raccoon wasn't quite sure about Flash! We had three deer through as well.

Busy night at the cat shelter
Busy night at the cat shelter. Grey-fluffy cat goes in at 9:00pm, then Flash decides to check out what's happening. Not good at first, but then they seem to get along. Finally, Grey-fluffy leaves at midnight. Good, it's getting used.

A new cat stopped by - hopefully NOT another stray! Also, the possum came to the bowls and the rabbits didn't run away the way they usually do!

Cat spends 8 hours in the shelter on a very cold night.
This cat was smart last night, it entered the shelter at 11:00pm and came out this morning at 7:00am. It was a very cold night, and it stayed safe and warm. (Flash, the ginger cat, has a sheltered spot under a neighbor's deck.)

Twitchy Fox.
I really don't know why this fox was so twitchy - it was the only animal that visited all night!

Flash still a friend and raccoons scared by fox.
We haven't seen much of Flash over the Winter - he has been around at night and sheltered from the worst of the weather - but last night he showed he is still friends with me! Overnight the raccoons were scared off before the fox even appeared!

Fox and raccoon.
As usual, the raccoon ran off when the fox came "bouncing" in, but then it decide that it could come back, and then the fox wasn't quite sure. They both just carried on eating.

We have an injured deer - front left leg is damaged - but it is still getting around. A morning, daylight visit from a raccoon!

Four deer at night, two in the morning, and one scared of birds!
Last night was a deer night. One group of 4 and another of 2 came through. This morning there were two, and one didn't know what to make of the birds coming down to the food bowl!

Flash in his house for nearly 8 hours!
The camera captured Flash going into his house at 3:45AM and then coming out at 11:10AM - a long sleep in a warm place. He seems to have claimed it for his own!
Deer and Fox.
With the extreme cold we are not getting many visitors - but a fox and a deer stopped by. Janie has seen a lot of deer, but only one here.
(Flash has been using the house we set up!)

Flash claims outdoor house!
Flash is claiming the outdoor house - which we set up for him. Ollie was watching from the kitchen! Temperature was down to 4F (-15C) overnight - so it was good that he took cover. The other cat that has been around a few times missed out. Hopefully, it has somewhere warm to shelter.
