The fox was checking for room under the shed to get out of the snow! (Maybe checking for food!)
We are starting to see raccoons appearing in the early evening whilst it is still light. We also had a raccoon crowd that left nothing for the deer to eat!
We bought a bacon-cheese bread at the store. I looked ( and sounded ) better than it really tasted - so out it went for the animals. The possum was reluctant to come out from under the shed - into the snow - but it did and was rewarded by getting the whole chunk of bread. Possums really like bread!
All the animals seem to come to us for food. Possums, raccoons, fox, coyotes and deer!
This raccoon has lost its tail. Should be easy to identify when it returns!
The rabbit was quite happy until it heard the fox running in!
Not seen this many raccoons at the same time for a while.
The smaller possum took the chicken scraps over to the shed, but two possums came out from underneath and one (larger one) took the chicken!
The possum took a rib bone off to eat, and the other possum followed. Later, we had three coyotes.
The possums love bread - so it sneaked one breadstick away from the raccoons. The deer also seem to like the bread! The fox was too late to get a treat!
Not a large number of animals overnight, but we had on fox, two deer, and three raccoons.
We've not seen a crowd of raccoons for a while - but they were back last night! Also the - now - regular deer came through.
The possum and the raccoon got first pick from the food trays. Later, three coyotes came through.
There was a lot of meat scraps out last night. The possum got the ribs and the fox got some chicken. Raccoons fed on the rest!
