Possum blind in one eye?

We had a possum out early in the evening. Then two possums and three raccoons. At night, in Infra-Red, the animal eyes glow bright white - due to the blood flow and heat they emit. The possum in the middle has only one eye glowing - which would mean that it is probably blind in one eye. Doesn't seem to slow it down!!!

Possum, raccoons and two foxes.

We ended up with three possums sharing with two raccoons. One of the possums had leaves wrapped up in its tail - for nest building - but dropped them when the raccoon made it run! We seem to be getting more possums.

Brave Possum!

This little possum was not afraid of the raccoons - in-fact they seemed afraid of it!! We had three to four visits from the deer, but the food was pretty much gone before they arrived.

Party Night!

Daylight animals and a different fox.

We had an evening raccoon and a morning (wet) possum. During the night a different fox came through - the tail is much shorter - so we have at least two foxes in the area. Deer were still coming through and one was sharing with a raccoon.

A big surprise - coyote and raccoon sharing!!

I've never seen this before. The coyote was eating and the raccoon just wandered in and started eating. Neither seemed bothered by the other!!

A "chasing" night!

Every-one giving chase! First the raccoon decided to chase all the others away from the food, then the deer ran when the fox appeared, but they did "carefully" come back in later!

The deer arrived early - but some of them were a little unsure about the raccoon. Later, the single deer was quite happy with the two raccoons.

Sharing Time!

Sharing Time! The possum shared with the raccoons, the raccoon shared with the fox, and the four raccoons almost shared - but one was being pushed out. The fox hung around for quite a time, normally it just runs through.

The possum was only a little upset by the raccoons coming in. The fox did a pass-through, and there was a raccoon out there at breakfast!

Deer, fox and rabbit

It was a Disney movie cast last night! A deer, a fox and a rabbit. Everything else was tucked away somewhere warm!

Six Evening Deer

We had a visit from 6 deer at 5:00pm - still daylight. Later there was a "new" dog, the fox and the coyote - plus the usual cast of raccoons and possums.

Fighting and sharing.......

The possums never seem to get on with each other - although they do with the raccoons! The fox is a solitary animal and the deer are in the herd.

Snow Visitors

Most of the animals stayed warm and snug overnight, except the rabbit, fox and a couple deer.

Something Different......

Something different today. I've set one of the cameras to capture a time lapse (one picture every minute - so I can see the snow that we are due to get overnight) - but it does show the animals coming through during the night.

Sharing - and a possum in a tree!

The raccoon and possum were sharing, and later the deer and raccoon were sharing. BUT, if you watch the tree behind the deer on the right, you can see a possum coming down! It then runs off to the shed. I've often seen raccoons up and down a tree, but this is the first time I've seen a possum in a tree!
