Much quieter nights.....
It's now much quieter overnight. A few raccoons are still bulking up for Winter. The possum and the raccoon are quite happy sharing. We still have a hummingbird feeder out - and they are using it to get food on their migration South.

Daylight raccoon and possum
The raccoon and the possum were out early evening - in daylight. The coyote came through in the early morning hours. No much traffic - just a couple of possums and a few raccoons.

Healthy fox and cat caught chipmunk
We had a visit from a very healthy fox. This morning I saw why we have fewer chipmunks around - the local cat has been catching them. I suspect the hawks have also taken a few....

Sharing and almost sharing...
Sharing and almost sharing... The possum and the raccoon are very used to each other, but when the small possum came in while the rabbit was there, the rabbit wasn't too sure. As long as they kept 'social distance' all was OK!!

Raccoons, fox and coyote.....
We had an evening visit from a raccoon - getting the food early. Then a fox and coyote came through - but didn't stop. Lastly, we have two young cubs with their mother. They must have been born late in the season. I just hope they fatten up enough to survive Winter!!

Raccoon and rabbit sharing - almost!!!
A raccoon was around in the middle of the day - bulking up for Winter. Overnight, the raccoon and rabbit were almost sharing. The raccoon ran off in the end.

The raccoon and possum were happily eating, until the raccoon pushed the possum out of the way. The possum just wandered off.

A bust night.
A busy night. Two different possums - little and large! Then the possum joined in with the raccoons at the food trays. Later, a fox did a "tigger" impression - that didn't impress the raccoon at all!!

A small cub and the fox determined to share with the raccoons
I think this cub must have been born later in the year. Its very small for this time of year, I just hope it gets fat enough to last the Winter... The fox seems determined to make friends with the raccoons, or at least share!!!

Fox trying to join in and hawks at the seed trays
This fox just wanted to join in. Tried to get under the shed - but couldn't make it. Later, tried to get to the seed trays while the raccoons were there - but didn't succeed.

The two hawks swooped in to the seed trays - the birds feeding there departed very quickly when one of the hawks was coming.

Possum, raccoon and fox
The possum and raccoon sharing - the raccoon might feel lonely as there aren't many raccoons around any more. The fox came through in the morning and still found plenty of seed. I've also seen the hawk 4 or 5 times over the past few days - so it might have moved in.

Overnight Changes......
Now we have arrived in September, there have been changes in the overnight traffic. More possums are visiting, and the two raccoons were not sure about coming while the large possum was at the trays. The most raccoons at one time was a group of four, and finally, there was enough seed left for the rabbit in the morning. A few weeks ago, the trays were empty of seed by midnight!!!

Possum and rabbit spook each other!!!
The possum was walking to the food bowl - which spooked the rabbit - which spooked the possum!!!!
