It been a little while since I sent something out - each night there are the regular raccoon family visits and the occasional possum. The cubs are getting bigger - almost matching the parents....
A while since a possum and raccoon shared. The possums seem to stay away when the crowd of raccoon cubs are around. This one wasn't too happy - but dealt with it!!!! Don't know what spooked it at the end.
Raccoons (and possums) just love City BBQ Texas Toast. When we put some out - it is taken in no time.... (Not sure City BBQ would this recommendation in their adverts - but .......)
A group of raccoon is formally known as a 'gaze,' or a 'nursery.' Which is very apt when looking a the number of cubs that feeding in the backyard. The cubs are getting as big as the adults.
Not seen the possums much - the food trays are too busy with the raccoon families - but this tiny one stopped by last night. You can see how small it is - comparing with the food bowls.
A coyote visited last night - and quickly passed by. I have video from Saturday night, when the coyote visited and caught a raccoon cub!! I've not posted that video. I know it happens all the time - but its a little intense when it happens in your own back-yard!!!!
